The Float Poem

I think if I was a boat,
I would simply float away
into a great silk ocean
from this small protected bay.

I would only follow currents
that led to the Isle of Gleey,
a rumor of a place
in the middle of a sea.

And should it take lifetimes
to become a little boat,
don’t begrudge me the journey
in which I sought to float.
